The American DEA has preferred to cooperate only with the Greek police authorities in discovering about 700 kg of cannabis sattiva, trafficked by Albania, leaving the Albanian police out of the game.
This fact is readily readable because, after discovering the group and narcotics distributed in several Greek cities, originating from Albania, our country’s police authorities have two days to “fight” in the media to identify the role of them in this operation.
But this role is, at best, inexistent, and in the worst case, the DEA has no faith to cooperate with the Albanian police authorities.
The Greek media has several days reporting on the widespread operation, as well as on suspected traffic organizer, Albanian from Saranda, KlemendBalili. Likewise, the Albanian media only refer to the Greek media regarding the details of the operation.
Under pressure, Albanian police reacted only Wednesday afternoon, through a statement “no meat or fish”, where it is noted that it is investigating and can not give details. While the Albanian public, through Greek media information, has understood who are the suspected organizers, who conducted the trafficking and where the narcotic was distributed. Also, the Greek media has also published the sarandiot official, KlemendBalili, as the key person of this traffic.
So the details and names of the organizers have been made known by the Greek authorities, while the Albanian police officially guard the investigative secret. But, seeing that many elements have come to the public in Greece, then the question marks on the role of Albanian police continue to stay in force. As long as the Albanian police say we do not give details, while the details have come out, then there is the conviction that either the State Police has no information on the operation that followed the trafficking of the giant quantity of narcotics from our territory or the Albanian police authorities did not were no longer active in field operations, within the framework of the international operation.
The most reliable is the first variant, according to which the State Police has no information, since it should not be notified by international partners, mainly from the US DEA. This variant is more credible, as if the police knew the information and, in the opinion of international authorities that could cooperate with the traffickers, then the operation in Greece would fail.
The simple logic leads to the conclusion that State Police has been completely out of the game in this operation. DEA Americans have stated that a major narcotics trafficking was being conducted from Albania to Greece. They have announced the Greek authorities, which have been launched, detecting, identifying and arresting some people in Greece. Meanwhile, for two days, Albanian Police continue to support its positions in Greek media publications, as well as opposing the opposition on the charges cast on police leaders.
