The country’s president, Ilir Meta, through a status on Facebook, announced that he was in the US to hold meetings with senior US officials.
Meta held a meeting with US Congressman Michael McCaul, Co-Chair of the Foreign Policy Committee.
The head of state says the meeting focused on partnership between the countries and the consolidation of peace in the region.
