Just a few days ago, Prime Minister Edi Rama promoted Hauwei’s 5g ‘made in China’ technology, which Vodafone would offer as a new service to its subscribers, and a strong response from the US Embassy in Tirana arrived.
Through a Facebook post, the US Embassy has raised a big question mark about what lies behind this new service that Vodafon seeks to provide citizens, while Prime Minister Edi Rama himself has sold it as a giant technological achievement, saying Albania is moving with the step of time.
What is seen in the posting of the US Embassy in addition to a question mark is a warning to Albanian citizens, as this new network may affect everyone’s personal information.
The US Embassy, through a post on its official Facebook page, has provided a helpful, explanatory, and advisory article to all citizens on the innovation of 5G technology and how to protect personal digital data against it.
