The Italian trafficker, Antonio Riela, admitted to the Italian authorities that he had collaborated on narcotics trafficking with Moisi Habilaj, as the latter was defended by a very powerful man in Albania.
Riela’s testimony is found in the Prosecutor’s Office for Serious Crimes, which called for the detention of a prisoner in custody for former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri.
“Boldnewës.al”, following the publication of the exclusive facts from the investigative file under the burial of former Minister Tahiri, is bringing in full the statement of Antonio Rielas, a testimony that was provided within the letter sent to the Italian authorities by the part of the Prosecution for Serious Crimes.
Riela, stated among other things that: “… I, since December 2013, have also taken part in the organization of sea voyages with fishermen found by myself and in cooperation with Albanians, in particular with Mosi Habilaj. Moses calmed me by saying that he was protected, as an important person in Albania protected him and allowed him to export these large quantities of marijuana. . . . I remember mentioning this person’s name, but I do not remember it now. This statement coincides in time and in detail with the interception made by the Italian authorities during a conversation between Moisi Habilaj and Sabaudin Celaj.
