In the forthcoming “Públicus” show, aired every Sunday at 20:10 in Vizion Plus, the film material “Recycling” appeared. A series of interviews with political figures, specialists, civil society and institution representatives revealed the backdrop of the law on the import of waste voted a week ago in Parliament.
“Públicus” managed to find out that Albania has no capacity to host waste from neighboring or EU countries. The highly-talked lab from Prime Minister Rama resulted in lack of expertise and experience in conducting recyclable waste analyzes.
Also, “Públicus” proved that the government had not allowed Albanian recycling companies to do integrated waste management. This is because Albanian urban waste will be managed through concessions that the government is giving to foreign firms.
Another detail transmitted in the “Recycling” material was about creating new companies during 2014-2016. This indicates that the government had intended to publicize the legal initiative that it overthrew three years ago.
