The Coastal National Agency, with Auron Taren, has been reminded of establishing a coastal line signal. Through a tender worth 166 million Lek, Tare wants to place tables in 41 beaches across Albania.
The oddity in this tender is the time when this tender will be made. According to the documents available at Boldnews.al, the “creation of signaling on the coast line” has been opened. The limit fund is 16 649 155 ALL without VAT. The duration of the contract or the time limit for execution is 45 days from the date of signing the contract. So, the tender will be on July 14, and on this date, if it fails, the winner will be announced. The winner has 45 days to set the tables, which ends at the end of August, when the beach season ends.
It is not yet known why this tender is now being done, as it could well be accomplished a few months ago and would already have been decided. The tender raises the suspicion that it can be done for clientelism affairs, as they will not serve the citizens, but only the pockets of statesmen.
According to the documents available at Boldnews.al, the beaches included in this project for the equipment with the respective signaling are the beaches expressed according to the decision of the Council of Ministers no. 321, dated 28.5.2014 “On the safety of the sea, beaches, inland waters in the depths of the territory and during the exercise of water sports”. It starts from Velipoja beach and ends in Saranda.
It does not include beaches where works are being carried out within the Vlora promenade (Lungomare), which are the Old Beach (Vlora), the Cold Water-Jonufer Beach (Vlora), Himarë Beach 1, Himara Beach 2, Qeparoit Beach 1 , Qeparoit Beach 2.
According to Tares, the driving force for the realization of this project is the current state of the signaling on the main beaches of the coast line, which is not in the proper parameters or does not exist at all and as a result makes it impossible to orient the local and foreign tourists.
Beach banners show beach users risks, prohibited actions, coastguard service, and local information.
