Chairman of the Supreme Prosecutorial Council, Gent Ibrahimi, said today that the three candidates for the SPAK presidency will hold a hearing on December 18. This hearing will be similar in format to that of the 3 candidates for Attorney General.
In the race for the head of SPAK are Altin Dumani, Arben Kraja and Edvin Kondili. Ibrahim emphasized that the assessment of the head of the SPAK and his selection will pass to the evaluation of 7 criteria, both professional and moral.
“Their files are in council. The hearings will be held on December 18 and will be public, I believe it will be the same as with the candidates for Attorney General. We will rate these candidates above 7 criteria.
The eight prosecutors we have chosen will start work on 19, ”he said.
Ibrahim expressed confidence that through legal mechanisms, there would be more than 10 prosecutors.
“The number of SPAK prosecutors will be over 10, with the exception of 8 officially taking office. This is thanks to the temporary appointment mechanisms, ”Ibrahimi said.
