Tirana Prosecutor, Genci Qana, turns out to be one of the richest officers in the justice system, refering to his self-declared data on property forms.
He turns out to be the owner of three apartments, four cars, as well as received gifts from his father-in-law, real estate that accounted for the value of about 120 thousand euros.
In the property declaration filed for the first time in 2004, prosecutor Qana, who at that time exercised his duties at the Serious Crimes Prosecution Office, stated that he was the owner of a 2 + 1 apartment, purchased in 2001, worth 2 million new leks. In 2011, Qana, who was a prosecutor in Tirana, as well as his wife, always according to the property declaration, buy another 84 m2 apartment, worth 28 thousand euros. For both these apartments, prosecutor Qana says she spent the savings generated over the years from her job and her spouse.
In 2012, prosecutor Qana results with great luck. He benefits from his father-in-law an apartment of 116 m2. The value of this donated apartment amounts to the value of 13.5 million new leks (about 100 thousand euros).
So, from 2001 to 2012, prosecutor Qana turns out to be the owner of three apartments, two of which are bought by him and the third, with a surface larger than the first two, donated.
Apart from the apartments, the prosecutor Qana turns out to be a “collector” of vehicles. In the initial property declaration, filed in 2004, Qana claims to have owned a Vloxvagen Jetta vehicle, which it bought 200,000 new (new).
In 2004, the prosecutor’s family Genc Qana was added to two other vehicles-a Volksvagen Golf 3, worth 500,000 new (new), as well as a Fiat Panda, worth 70,000 new (Lek).
Apparently, prosecutor Qana did not suffice to own three vehicles. In 2012, he buys another, a Ford Focus, worth 14,900 euros. A year later, in 2013, his wife buys another vehicle, a Fiat Punto, in the value of 150,000 ALL.
From an analysis of the declarations of the property of Prosecutor Qana from 2003 to 2016, published on the portal “Opendata.al”, it does not turn out that he or his spouse have sold any of the five vehicles listed above.
Apart from apartments and cars, prosecutor Genc Qana turns out to be lucky in terms of gifts received by her husband’s family.
In 2012, prosecutor Qana and his wife received the father-in-law gift from the aforementioned apartment, with a surface area of 116 m2, worth around 100,000 euros.
Along with the apartment, the Qana couple have also received two garages, with an area of 18m2 and 21m2, whose total value is estimated at around 3 million new leks.
Also, prosecutor Qana has also received a $ 4,000 cash gift, which, along with some of his savings, as well as an interest-free loan of 5,000 euros, has been used for the purchase of the Ford Focus vehicle , worth 14,900 euros.
