The Prosecution for Serious Crimes has provided the testimony of a (identified) person, who was related to the Habilai group. This person, whose name “Boldnews.al” has decided not to publish, declared to Serious Crimes Prosecutors that Moisi Habilaj had many recognitions in Vlora Police and “all the leaders respected”.
In the file provided exclusively by “Boldnews.al”, this person states that “Moses Habilaj had many recognitions in the Police Directorate of Vlora. When he was on the way to Moses, all the police officers spoke to him. ” So from these statements, it is clear that the head of a criminal organization accused of having trafficked at least 3.5 tonnes of cannabis to Italy was a person who was “respected” by the coastal city police.
This form of “respect” came from the fact that Moses Habilaj was Saimir Tahiri’s cousin. He used the Audi AA 003 GB car, owned by the Minister of Interior. And also, Moses Habilay and his brothers were a permanent companion to Tahir during his walks outside of Albania.
All this data had been provided to Moisi Habilaj by the status of “untouchables” in Vlora Police. Even under the Investigations of Serious Crimes Prosecution, Habilaj also cooperated with very senior leaders of Vlora Police to create the conditions for easily channeling cannabis from Albania to Italy.
As persons under investigation and declared in search, as a collaborator of Habilajve, are former Vlora Police Director, Jaeld Çela, as well as two former direct subordinates, Gjergj Kohila and Sokol Bode.
