RTV Ora News Ylli Ndroqi was seen on Friday morning in the premises of the General Prosecutor’s Office. He stayed for a few minutes, meanwhile shortly after this visit the prosecution announced the launch of investigations against SP deputy, Alfred Peza.
The latter, former General Director at RTV Ora News, is charged with tax evasion, false property declaration, and forgery of documents. The SP deputy is expected to be questioned by two prosecutors assigned to the matter in his charge.
The investigation into Alfred Peze started after the news about the acquisition of shares in Credins bank by his wife, worth about ALL 1.13 billion. He stated that these incomes were from work savings as a journalist to RTV Ora News. But in recent days the media have published a certificate dated 04.03.2010 issued by RTV Ora News, where former journalist Alfred Peza was paid 80 thousand Lek for the position of the General Director.
The reason for Ndroq’s visit to the prosecution’s offices is unknown, and the General Prosecutor’s Office has not provided any information by making my visit mysterious. Also, Ndroqi has not yet clarified the truth of Peza’s salary, but apparently this issue already belongs to the prosecution and both sides can be called to give explanations.
In this situation it appears to the prosecution that doubts arise that if the confirmation of RTV Ora News television is forged or the payment of Alfred Peza has functioned “with two confederates” by carrying out fiscal evasion. Article 180 of the Criminal Code states that the concealment or avoidance of payment of tax liabilities for a value higher than 8 million ALL is punished by imprisonment of four to eight years.
Meanwhile, Friday, the ex-spouse of Alfred Pesa, Adelina Toli, has been presented to the prosecution. She has agreed to co-operate with prosecution institutions on condition of securing her son’s life, as he is afraid of his security.
“I am willing to cooperate with justice, my only fear of the boy’s security with my ex-spouse, Alfred Peza,” she said. She told her before prosecutors investigating the file.
The 80,000-leke salary certificate was found in a lawsuit of Peza’s ex-wife, Adelina Tolit, to former journalist Alfred Peza in 2010. The lawsuit required a re-evaluation of the retirement pension for Alfred Pesa’s son. But the latter had not even admitted in the court session to pay an amount of 50,000 leks a month for his son, who was then in the 8th grade. In court, Peza claimed that there was no financial possibility since the second marriage had two other juvenile children. The former journalist agreed to help the boy from the first marriage of only 10,000 leks a month, which is too small to cover school expenses and courses.
For three years Alfred Peza has worked at RTV Ora News, owned by Ylli Ndroq. Initially, he started working as Director of Information and then held the position of the General Director of RTV Ora News. Also, Peza had two political shows a week, “Debate Hour” and “Interview Hour”. The salary spilling on former journalist Alfred Peza at that time exceeded 10,000 euros.
