Balkan Escalope, Klemend Balili is in Albanian territory and State Police is aware of this fact.
At the end of July, State Police secured operational information that internationally wanted, Balili, is located in the South of the country. Confidential sources report “Boldnews.al” that, right after receiving this information, several operations were organized to find Klemend Balil, who is accused by Greek authorities as the head of a powerful international narcotics network.
However, the Boldnews.al sources in the State Police failed to give a compelling answer to why his arrest was not made when operational and trusted information placed him in the Albanian territory. On the other hand, there is still no justified reaction to the Democratic Party’s public accusations, which claims that Balili is enjoying the holidays at the same hotel with a senior official in the city of Saranda.
Klemend Balil’s missing arrest turned into a fierce public and political debate about two months ago. In a widespread international anti-drug operation, 11 members of a criminal group that trapped strong narcotics were arrested in Greece and several other countries. Based on the investigative data of the international authorities, the head of the network was Klemend Balili, a businessman in Saranda and at the same time Director of the Transport Service in this city. For several days, the State Police did not give any confirmation of Balil’s involvement in this network, while declaring that he was part of the international operation.
The Greek media was able to uncover numerous investigative data, as well as publicized Balil’s name, also called “Balkan Eskobar”. Only then, the Albanian police were forced to admit that they were aware of his role. But in the meantime, Balili was no longer in his home and had strong suspicions that he had also left Albanian territory.
In the second week of August, the Democratic Party published photos of Balil on the beach of Saranda, accusing the police of having seen and not arresting the police. Informally, the leaders of the Interior Ministry tried to ignore this information or deny it with the media side in their service.
But history has some elements of truthfulness. Balkan Escalope, Klemend Balili is in Albania and the police seem to be working to arrest him. But if the information provided by PD is correct, Balili is in the same hotel where the state police officers are staying, then his arrest seems to be delayed too soon.
