Originally from Puglia, Carlo Bollino has lined up the tide in the economic sector in Albania thanks to the support of the left-wing government. From a research by Boldnews.al, the Albanian-owned Italian possesses 7 companies, mainly open to the names of its associates.
The latest company is the one created on February 11, 2016 and bearing the name of Carlo Bollino. The purpose of this company is unknown, but data published at the National Registration Center states that the field of activity is consultancy and assistance in the implementation of national and international projects. Knowing Bollino’s close relationship with the government, this leaves doubts that the Italian can benefit from public funds by providing assistance to projects that will be implemented in Albania.
Another company created in 2014, “Spazio Eventi” is owned by Carlo Bollino. Although it does not appear as a shareholder at the National Registration Center, the company was founded by Lindita Dode, who is known as an old and financial associate of Bollino. Another founder of this company is also Italian Francesco Milella, who also has another business in co-ownership with his father-in-law Carlo Bollino. “Spazio Eventi” has been at the center of the allegations of public funds obtained by the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Culture for the restoration of Bunk’art. Also this company has conducted several activities with citizens’ taxes in the framework of the campaign against breast cancer.
“Media content” is another company created by controversial Italians. According to the data, the company results in the name of Bollino’s wife, Alba Malltez, and has as action field the creation of analogue and digital television networks as well as the preparation of television programs or advertisements.
Even “FFM Group” is owned by Alba Malltez and has partner Carlo Bollino’s financier. Established in 2011, this company provides auditing and consulting in the field of media. One of the key points of this company is the training of journalists, operators and photographers in the electronic media and the creation of websites. Until now it is unknown who journalist or operator has come trained by this company, but it is certain that Bollino’s media appear unhappy about delays in payment and disrespect of the working code.
Even though it is not well shared with Koço Kokëdhima, Bollino continues to have shares in the television of the former Socialist MP. Referring to NRC, TV Balkan Company (currently A1 News, has not yet started broadcasting) has 35% shareholder with “Media Content” owned by Alba Malltez. It is not known why Bollino is holding the stakes on this television and whether it is intentional to block the launch of broadcasts for the new television.
A lack of transparency is also seen in the companies that represent the media of Carlo Bollino. “TV Report” is not registered with the authentic name at NRC, as other TV channels such as Klan, Top Channel or Ora News are recorded. Bollino used the name “Multiscreen” to create his own television while the company used it masked to get public funds for television commercials. The mask goes as far as the company is on behalf of Lindita Dode, financier and co-worker of Carlo Bollino.
Even “Albanianja.com” newspaper is widely known to be Carlo Bollino’s media. But the Italians took care not to leave his name but to his wife Alba Malltezi. According to NRC, partners in “Shqiptarja.com” are FFM Group, Malltez owned company. While the administrator is Genc Kondi, a man close to Carlo Bollinon.
Earlier, Boldnews.al investigated how Carlo Bollino’s 73-year-old father-in-law was a shareholder in a deluxe cafe at the former block. It is about the restaurant “In Puglia”, which besides the father of Alba Malltezi, has also the shareholder Italian Francesco Milella. The name of the latter is also curved to the funds obtained for the restoration of Bunk’Art and the realization of some breast cancer awareness campaigns.
Doubts about Carlo Bollino’s financial activity are strong, as all of his companies have a common address. Boldnews.al will publish the following uncontested facts about suspicious financing from offshore companies for Carlo Bollino’s media.
