A couple of teenagers, foolishly talented enough to make some money for their future, killed an elder, have already become the main enemies of each other in the courtroom.
Gjoana Hila and Erando Qatipi are currently facing the Court of Shkodra on charges of killing a teenager, more precisely the girl’s grandmother, the Angje Hila victim.
The accused Gjoana had been living in the victim’s house for years and, along with her boyfriend, Erandon, thought to steal valuable items from the elderly and then to leave without understanding anyone.
On the afternoon of February 25, 2015, Gjoana and Erando met at the hotel’s cafe in downtown Shkodra, a few meters away from the daughter’s grandmother’s home. They have come together, headed for Angja Hila’s home and are seen to leave after about 40 minutes.
No one understood that Angja Hila’s house had happened to a crime where she had died of asphyxia, drowned by blocking the airways with the side of a pillow.
From that day on, between the two lovers started a big cooling, so that in the messages between them it was noticed that things were not as it were before.
On the morrow of the crime, the elder’s son, Andrea Hila, found first that his mother, who was alone in that apartment and occasionally joined Gjoana, did not live anymore.
Immediately, Andrea reports to the family that their mother had died, perhaps for natural reasons. On Wednesday, February 26, Italy arrives for the mortal ceremony, the other son of the victim, Bernard Hila. The latter notes some signs of violence in the face and body of the mother. He also found that his mother was missing time and ring, which he himself had donated long ago.
Among family members, Laura starts a fierce debate over the causes of death and the immigrant Andrea has addressed the police, reporting the suspicion that his mother, the old Angela Hila, was killed.
Police Effective officials immediately started verifying and expertise, finding that Andrea Hilas’s suspicions had to be verified. The case was reported to the Prosecutor’s Office of Shkodra, which launched investigations into the killing of the elderly.
Andrea Hila, the predicate, states before the investigative group that the main suspicions about the killing of the elderly fall on his niece, brother of Nikolin’s brother, who lived with the victim. Gjoana Hila had been living with Angel for years and was aware of the valuable items she was at home. This doubt was strengthened, as it was found that entry into the house was carried out without violence. So the authors should have had the key to the house. The investigative group focused on family investigations, with Gjoana Hila’s main objective.
The Shkodra Prosecution began to reconstruct the event, collecting all possible evidence of Gjoana Hill’s movement in the last hours before the event.
Sequestrated film footage of a downtown hotel near the victim’s home. In the video material it was found that around 16:00 on 25.02.2015 defendant Gjoana Hila entered the hotel lobby and after a few seconds the defendant Erando Qatipi came.
After a few minutes they come out together. Around 17:05 minutes, two defendants move toward Angje Hila’s apartment. Further, after about 40 minutes, they reappear in the movie camera footage of the hotel but this time their movements are perverted.
The investigative authorities, some days after the denunciation, formed the conviction that Gjoana Hila and Erando Qatipi should be the perpetrators of the murder. Based on the data up to that date, the police arrest the two suspects, according to the order of the Shkodra Prosecution Office.
Immediately after the arrest, the mystery of the crime began to be clarified. Gjoana has agreed to explain the mechanism of her grandmother’s murder by bribing her loved one, Erando Qatipi.
For Gjoania, the murder of Angja Hila has been carried out by Erando Qatipi, in the knowledge and presence of her, in the apartment of her grandmother Angje Hila. Gjoana claimed her grandmother’s theft had planned with her boyfriend, Erando Qatipi, about a week before the event.
While the other defendant, perhaps to defend his girlfriend and himself until the end, denies having been present at the time of the incident and claims that he has no knowledge of the event.
