Trial Police Officers have finally been able to question Gerald Baramuçan, the only survivor of the EC 145 helicopter incident, in which two of his colleagues Florian Deliaj died after falling into the waters of Lake Shkodra and Donald Hoxha.
Boldnews.al teaches that, as expected, Lieutenant Baramuça does not remember anything from the day when the three-person military helicopter crashed into the water near the village of Grizhë. Baramuça, who was in the Trauma Hospital in Tirana after four days of incident, was questioned by Tirana Police Police Judge officers on Sunday evening.
From the day of the incident, he was in a state of shock and the investigating authorities were unable to obtain his testimony, which could serve to uncover the dynamics of the event. On Sunday afternoon, Trauma Hospital doctors have estimated that his emotional and health condition has been acceptable to submit to Judicial Police questions.
Despite expectations, investigators have failed to obtain valuable information from Baramuça, who was on the back of the military helicopter led by Deliaj and Hoxha.
Boldnews.al has learned that Tirana Police Officers, delegated to conduct investigative actions by the Shkodra Prosecutor’s Office, have submitted to the wounded detailed questions about itinerary, movement, the fact that they were in that area, the moment of crash, if there were obvious defects during the helicopter flight, as well as the last few moments before the collision of the aircraft with the surface of the waters of Lake Shkodra.
State Police sources told Boldnews.a that, for any question, Lieutenant Baramuça replied that he did not remember anything. While the eyewitness’s question did not serve the investigators to clarify the circumstances of the tragic incident, the helicopter recording camera expertise, expected on Saturday in the lake waters, is expected to be conducted.
