DashamirXhika, Director of the Albanian Road Authority, turns out involved in a scandal about the tragic crash of the Sabbath on Plepa – Golem road, where two children died and another, along with their mother, were injured.
Xhika has not implemented a final court decision to place side defenders at the location where the accident occurred.
Klan Television has revealed the final decision of the Administrative Court of Appeal, Tirana, on 1 July 2014.
This decision, bearing the number 2634, issued by the trial panel composed of Judges ValdeteHoxha, IlirToska and EdliraPetriti, obliges the Albanian Road Authority, led by DashamirXhika and the Ministry of Transport, headed by Edmond Haxhinasto, proceed with the installation of side protectors to close the entrances – exits to the fuel station near the accident site.
The “Pienvis” entity, which owns fuel, had brought an administrative decision of the Road Authority and the 2010 Ministry of Transport to the court to put side defenders.
The Tirana court rightfully granted the fuel company, by a decision dated 7 June 2013.
But the Administrative Court of Appeal in Tirana dismissed this first-instance decision, following the appeal made by the Albanian Road Authority itself, granting the latter the right to a final decision.
But even though two years have passed since the decision was made, the Albanian Road Authority did not put the water in fire to proceed with the deployment of defenders, which would have saved two lives.
Director DashamirXhika admits he has won the trial, but refuses to comment after the scandal is revealed.
The Kavaja Prosecution officially put DashamirXhikën under investigation, after the disclosure of these facts implicating him in this scandal. He is considered to be responsible for the tragic consequences of the accident with two killed children.
But will he resign after these facts?
Would he apologize to the family members who lost the two young children in the road accident that, according to the Prosecution, had tragic consequences only for the fact that he did not enforce a court decision?
The prosecution is expected to be questioned, while DashamirXhika was billed by his Minister, Edmond Haxhinasto, when he was asked today who is responsible for not replacing the metal defenders at the site of the two-victim accident.
