The driver of former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri was asked by Serious Crimes Prosecutors for contacts with Orest Sotan, in whose vehicle 863 thousand euros were found and the patrol licenses of the Tahiri family.
Gentian Çaka is one of the people most aware of the movements and contacts of his former boss. However, prosecutors do not expect to get relevant data from the driver’s testimony, but they intend to cross the data obtained from their investigation with Gentian Chaka’s statements.
On November 1, 2017, Elbasan police stopped the citizen Orest Sota, in whose vehicle there were scattered shipwrecks of his ex-minister’s interior minister, and a considerable sum of 863 thousand euros.
Orest Sota claimed that the driving licenses were forgotten in the vehicle by citizen Gentian Çaka, driver of former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri. While for money found in the back seat, he claims to have been the money of his father’s company, which would be used for purchases in the function of private activity.
In the investigative file, which “Boldnews.al” has seen exclusively, it results that between Saimir Tahiri, Gentian Chaka and Orest Sotay has deep knowledge. As many as, these three have often moved outside of Albania with one another’s vehicles.
– On 01.09.2017 at 01:28 the citizen Orest Sota has left Albania via PKK Murriqan, with his vehicle AA718 OS and with him was also citizen Gentian Çeka (driver of citizen Saimir Tahiri).
– On 06.09.2017 at 19:06 the citizen Orest Sota has left Albania via PKK Murriqan, with the license plate AA973RX (registered in his brother’s name), while the citizen Gentian Çeka has come out in the same hour and date from Murriqani with the vehicle with license plate AA718OS of Orest Sot. Meanwhile, the entry, citizen Orest Sota has on 11.09.2017, 08:20 hours from Durres Durres with the license plate AA718OS, while Gentian Çeka is returned a day later, ie on 12.09.217, 13:58 hours from Durrës port, with the vehicle AA973RX. So, in return, the cars have been changed.
– On 24.02.2017, at 8:05 am, the citizen Orest Sota has left Albania via PKK Murriqan, with the license plate number MB 279 AA, which results in the Ministry of Interior’s inventory. With this tool there are several entry-exit citizens Gentian Çeka, driver of citizen Saimir Tahiri.
So, in summary, citizen Gentian Çeka has two exits and one entry with a license plate AA718OS that is owned by Orest Sot. Citizens Gentian Çeka has two exits and one entry with the license plate AA101DJ, owned by the company “Ikona” with the owner of Orest Sot’s father. Citizens Gentian Ceka has a car with the license plate AA973RX owned by Ardit Sot.
