Prosecutor Rovena Gashi and her husband, Dritan Gina, have been investigated for about two months by Durres prosecutor Ornela Roundwood, whose spouse is a business partner with the brother of former deputy Shkëlqim Selami. The latter lost the mandate of the deputy due to the Decriminalization, on the basis of the verifications carried out by the structure directed precisely by Rovena Gashi.
Ornela Round is a prosecutor commanded at the Durres Prosecutor’s Office, which is addressing some of the issues of particular interest to the Chief Prosecutor Arta Marku. It was, moreover, the latter who, once assumed the post at the head of the institution, signed the Round Movement from Kavaja to the Durrës Prosecutor’s Office.
But “Boldnews.al” has revealed a scheme that is related to politics in this movement, which looks like “routine”. But that’s not the case. Chief Prosecutor Arta Marku, in violation of the law, abolished the former head of the Durres Prosecutor’s Office and replaced him with her friend Donika Prela. Contrary to the law and its promise to the Commission of Laws that would no longer commandeer, she commanded the prosecutor Ornela Roundup in the Durres Prosecutor’s Office. Apparently, the intention was to prepare the appropriate ground by the Provisional Chief Prosecutor.
Prosecutor Roundup was charged with some of the most media-based investigations of the moment – the investigation into the “Habilaj’s financier”, Nezar Seiti’s investigation and the investigation of the pair of prosecutors Rovena Gashi and Dritan Gina.
This choice does not seem to have been incidental. “Boldneës.al” has provided documents that it turns out that the husband of the prosecutor Ornela Roundabout, Alban The Lessee is co-owner of the private activity “Private Institute of the Suffering of Saranda Penalty” with the citizen Adriami Selami. The latter is the brother of former deputy Shkëlqim Selami, who lost his mandate because Prosecutor Rovena Gashi found that he was in violation of the law “On Decriminalization”.
Shkëlqim Selami, who received the mandate of the MP from the Socialist Movement for Integration, changed the way and approached the Socialist Party very much. Even the members of the Central Election Commission, who were elected with the support of the SP, voted against the termination of his mandate, which was, however, dismissed due to the highest number of votes of the opposition in the CEC.
The husband of the prosecutor of “important investigations” of Durres Prosecution, Alban Mësuesi, has started the joint private activity with Adriatik Selami, the brother of former deputy Shkëlqim Selami in September 2014 and continue to be co-owners.
Clearly, Chief Interim Attorney Arta Marku has chosen the right people to meet her revenge against the Gashi-Gina couple, who fiercely and institutionally clashed with the Probate Chief Prosecutor. Arta Marku unlawfully appointed the chief prosecutor of Durres, Donika Prela, who proved very convinced of any request of her boss in the investigation of spousal prosecutors. Prela also approached the prosecutor Ornela Roundup, whose spouse earns money with family members of persons prosecuted by prosecutor Rovena Gashi.
