PIC: CHRIS TUCKER/APEX 06/04/2018 How did he survive? An 11-year-old boy has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after falling 200ft from cliffs in north Devon. Emergency services, including the Lynmouth and Ilfracombe coastguard, two lifeboats and the police, were called to the Valley of the Rocks at Lynton at about 6.60pm on Thursday. The boy, belived to be a visitor to the area from Los Angeles was found at the bottom of the cliffs and winched up. It is thought he had a double fracture of the fibia, He was taken to Plymouth's Derriford Hospital by air ambulance and then transferred to Bristol. A Devon & Cornwall Police spokesman said: "Sadly someone has fallen off rocks." The boy's family were at the scene and he has reportedly suffered potentially life-changing injuries.
