The Directorate General of Prisons has launched investigations into the high-risk release of inmates while it is learned that it is inspecting all files of the last three years.
This investigation is being conducted to see if there are violations committed by the education or justice sector that may have favored the convicts to obtain conditional release.
With the signature of the head of Prisons, Agim Ismaili, the order was distributed to all IEVPs in the country for ten days, and consequently the investigation of the files has begun.
For most of the convicts, prison staff have rated them very good, even convicts who present a very high social risk, and this is precisely the reason for their decisions to be investigated.
Recently, the issue of release from prison has become one of the most debated issues. Only recently were released from the cells of two sentenced to life imprisonment, Gert Gjenerali and Endrit Dokle.
