The Socialist Movement for Integration has hired the McKeon Group lobbying company, targeting an invitation for its leader, Ilir Meta, at the inauguration of new US President Donald Trump.
The agreement signed between LSI and McKeon Group, a copy of which is available from BIRN, indicates that Meta and LSI will pay $ 15,000 a month to the US company for a 6-month period.
In addition to the monthly fee, the SMI will be responsible for paying and the costs to be incurred by the firm during engagement on behalf of the client.
The specified purpose of the lobbying contract is to secure the invitation for SMI leaders to inaugurate US President Donald Trump on January 20, 2017, and to hold meetings with political leaders during the inauguration visit of the president.
After January 20th, according to the contract, the US company is expected to work to create a “good and special relationship” between the SMI and the new administration of Donald Trump and Congress.
McKeon Group is a lobbying company based in Washington DC, led by former Republican Party Howard P. “Buck” McKeon.
McKeon Group’s engagement is not the first time the Socialist Movement for Integration employs a lobbying company in Washington.
During 2016, the SMI has engaged in Ushington the Global Security and Innovative Strategies lobbying company, GSIS, providing high-level meetings with US officials and members of Congress.
Data provided by BIRN in the US Department of Justice show that only during the first six months of 2016, the Socialist Movement for Integration has spent 123, 761 USD in GSIS favor.
The lame lobby for the US lobbyist has made the calculated voice for consultations and surveys in the 2016 draft budget of the Socialist Movement for Integration to triple from ALL 5 million to ALL 15 million, accounting for 26.1 percent of the declared party spending. /Reporter.al/
