The State Police has ordered the medal through a tender that will cost the pockets of the Albanian taxpayers about 1.2 billion ALL. According to the documents available at Boldnews.al, it is a significant amount of medals, stamps, stamps and symbols.
Although the State Police is made up of 11,000 people across Albania, the tender is being made to provide some 28,000 coats of arms, more than double the capacity of blue uniforms. Upon the request of the contracting authority, in this case the State Police requires rank for all levels from the basic structure to the top executives.
The deadline for submitting bids is 25 November while the winner will be on this day. In the past, tenders for emblems, ranks and uniforms were involved in major scandals, where the former general director of the State Police of Hysni Burgaj was accused.
In addition to suspicions for favoring any government client with this tender, Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri tends to lure policemen with emblems and medallions. But, on the other hand, police have been placed in the center of allegations about drug trafficking and domestic cannabis.
Boldnews.al has earlier reported how state police officers have been betrayed in anti-cannabis operations. In some cases, such as Fushë-Kruja, Dibra or even Vlora, the practitioners have attempted to seize cannabis tons, but they have been abandoned by police chiefs suspected of linking drug traffickers.
The police feel unmotivated, as in most cases of cannabis destruction they only arrest some villagers, while the real “heads” of drug cultivation are either warned or unknown to who they are.
Effective police feel also scared when faced with people with high criminal activity but who are protected by politics. Such is the case of the notorious Emiliano Shullazi, where the police officers, shy and headed, have accompanied the chief lieutenant and the finisher in the premises of the Tirana Police Directorate.
Effective police were also betrayed when Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri’s brother-in-law knelt blue uniforms during a debate at a coffee bar, and then fired them. Apparently, this is another promiscuous promise by Saimi Tahiri, who said that when he came to the government there would be no intangible or shield for the family of the rulers.
So this bitter reality in the State Police can never be filled with medallions, emblems, ranks, or even new uniforms. Much less when the situation in our country is going through the worst days, starting from assassinations, killings, drug trafficking and road accidents.
